Constitutional and Administrative Law

Our team has worked both as lead counsel and co-counsel in complex and precedent-setting constitutional law and public administrative law cases.

We have assisted individual clients in bringing constitutional challenges to protect their fundamental rights including their right to protection from discrimination, the right to equal protection of the law, the right to work, and the right to property. Our attorneys have brought constitutional challenges on behalf of corporate and public interest litigants challenging the constitutionality of legislation that restrict access to the courts, the right to property, and equal protection of the law, and challenges to constitutional amendments that seek to infringe the basic structure of the Belize Constitution.

We have also brought public law claims on behalf of private clients who have been adversely affected by unlawful decisions of government officials, as well as championing the cause of public interest litigants who seek to challenge unlawful decisions by government officials that adversely affect a community or the citizenry.
